Does Child Support & Alimony Violate the 13th Amendment?

Somehow the courts have repeatedly ruled that compelling a man to work to support people he doesn't wish to support is neither slavery nor involuntary servitude. This doesn't make sense to me, seeing as he has no say in the matter, except to have all his assets stolen from him, and eventually go to jail.Thirteenth Amendment
Section 1
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
This seems worse than income tax. At least the tax man only steals a portion of the fruits of your labor-- he doesn't force you to work in the first place.
