Evolution vs. Equity
I want to know how someone can believe both in the theory of evolution, and in racial equality at the same time. The former postulates that everything alive today is the result of ruthless competition, which wiped out over 99% of the species that have ever existed on Earth. The later proposes that all humans are basically the same — that there's no fundamental differences between racial and ethnic groups that can explain differences in outcome. Therefore all differences must be due to discrimination. How can one hold both views without contradiction?
